Mountains, Tail winds and Mosquitoes

The title of today's ride should be, Mountains, Tail winds and Mosquitoes.

As you can see from the elevation profile below, the ride started with a nice long climb up Greenhill Road almost to Mt Lofty before dropping down the far side. We figured that that would be the climbing for the day, but we encountered an uncountable number uphill climbs, almost all the way to the 1/2 way point where lunch was waiting.  Mercifully the road began to flatten out and a very pleasant tail wind pushed us along.

The last 44 km into the campground was almost completely aided by the tail wind that got us into camp just in time to shower before dinner. The total number of feet climbed for the day was over 5200.

I could go on talking about the beautiful scenery, but you will have to wait for me to have a chance to upload the photos from today.  Tomorrow will also be long day, but without as may hills. Maybe I'll have a chance to upload the photos then.

Heading of to bed, it will be an early day tomorrow.
